The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart in 1080p HD as well as come with a digital code (copy) of the film. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. ![]() The cast included Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Cassidy, Stubby Kaye, Alan Tilvern, as well as the voice talents of Mel Blanc, Lou Hirsch, Kathleen Turner (uncredited as “Jessica Rabbit”), and Charles Fleischer (namely as “Roger Rabbit”). The movie, directed by Robert Zemeckis, featured a blend between live-action actors and animated cartoons ( “toons”). There are also some opportunities to meet Mickey Mouse and the gang in and around their homes.The 1988 film “ Who Framed Roger Rabbit“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 7th via Disney. Also, while visiting Toontown, there are a ton of fun photo ops in the area. It brings Toontown to life even more as guests spin through the story. Roger Rabbit Car Toon Spin is a fun attraction that is worth the walk to the back of Disneyland. There the weasels are laying in wait to take aim at the arriving cabs! As the race to save Jessica Rabbit takes place, Lenny takes guests through Toontown as they crash into Bullina’s China Shop, slip and slide into the Power House, and spin into Gag the Warehouse storage area. With that, the wheel is now active and guests can spin their car by turning the wheel. As the attraction gets going weasels have spilled Toon-melting Dip! There, guests get their first look at Roger and Benny who spin out. The cabs are situated so each can fit two guests. The cab is named Lenny, the cousin of Benny. Guests are in hot pursuit as they board another cab. Weasels are trying to kidnap Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit is off to the rescue aboard Benny the cab. Finally, guests reach the Toontown Cab Company. The queue goes through narrow alleys of Toontown with elements of the story present. Entering inside takes guests into the world of Roger Rabbit. Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin really is an experience that begins as you walk into the queue. ![]() The result was that Roger Rabbit only ended up having an attraction in Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland. When Euro Disney (later named Disneyland Paris) had financial difficulties, many of these plans were scaled back. Things never seem to go quite as planned, however. Attractions would also be built at Tokyo Disneyland. ![]() Another idea had attractions based off of Roger Rabbit, Judge Doom, and Baby Herman coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as part of an expansion. It was thought that Roger Rabbit could find a home there. Over at the Magic Kingdom, a new area called Mickey’s Birthdayland was being developed behind Fantasyland. This new area would be called Hollywoodland. One idea had Roger Rabbit finding a home at Disneyland behind Main Street, USA. Because of this, Disney started working up different ideas for Roger Rabbit attractions. With this popularity, there was opportunity. The idea for an attraction based off of Roger Rabbit came soon after Disney realized how popular the character was after the release of his movie. Tokyo Disneyland opened the attraction on April 15, 1996. The Disneyland version opened on July 26, 1994. It also can be found at Tokyo Disneyland where it is located in Mickey’s Toontown, just like at Disneyland in California. Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin is an attraction based off of the 1988 movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? The attraction is found at Disneyland in Toon Town. ![]()
